Finding Place: A Nature Journal Workshop with Lyn Baldwin

June 3, 2023 @ 10:30 AM - 2:30 PM

Join artist, author and botanist Lyn Baldwin for a special hands-on workshop in the nature journaling. Using a series of exercises to create a visually captivating page spread, we explore how journaling helps weave a reciprocal relationship between people and place. No previous experience required! Drawing and watercolour kits available for use in the workshop. Bring a lunch and a folding chair/stool to sit outside if weather allows.

Lyn Baldwin is an award-winning teacher and botany professor at Thompson Rivers University in Kamloops. She uses art and science to help cultivate care between the people and plants of place.

FREE but space is limited; registration is required. Register below or contact the Library.

Presented with support from Sunshine Coast Community Forest.

Join us the same afternoon for Lyn’s reading from her new new, beautifully illustrated natural history memoir, Drawing Botany Home: A Rooted Life.  More info and registration here
