Emma Dakin (the fiction writer nom de plume of local author Marion McKinnon Crook) will read from Perils in Yorkshire, her third and latest offering in the British Book Tour Mysteries series.

When a young man disappears from her group of tourists on the cobbled streets of York, and a security guard is found murdered, tour leader Claire Barclay must solve the mystery while keeping her guests out of trouble.

Community Reading of  Dickens’ A Christmas Carol

Join in the holiday spirit! If you’re 8 to 108, come hear our merry band of community members read a lively, one-hour version of Dickens’ beloved Christmas Carol, as adapted for the stage by David Lawver.

Cans or jars of food donations for the Sunshine Coast Community Services Food Bank will be gratefully accepted.

In person only; per public health orders, our event is limited to 50 persons, and the library will be otherwise closed.
