Gibsons & District Library Foundation

Giving Tree Update – June 27, 2019

The Gibsons & District Library Foundation’s first fundraising initiative in almost a decade has come to a tremendous conclusion.  We began with what we hoped was an attainable goal.  However, with an incredible show of support we not only met our $6,500.00 goal but exceeded it. The final tally coming in at $7,456.45!

Now the long overdue state-of–the-art multimedia presentation system needed at the Gibsons & District Public Library will soon be a reality.  We are actively working with Heather Evans-Cullen and her incredible staff to ensure that your donations provide the maximum benefit to the library and its patrons. The new system will not only support ongoing digital literacy programs, it will also enhance the library’s ability to provide the best possible presentations, readings and audience participation experiences.

A big thank you to all. Your generosity will not be forgotten!

Our Mission

The Gibsons & District Library Foundation was established in November 2001 to provide financial security to the Library, above and beyond government core funding, through the support of individuals and the other organizations. The Gibsons Library Foundation will facilitate and promote educational programs by the provision of enhanced facilities, materials and equipment, encourage community outreach programs for those currently not able to use the Library and receive gifts, bequests, funds and property to hold, invest, administer and distribute for the purposes of the Foundation.
