BC Seniors’ Guide – In this guide, you will find information and resources on benefits, healthy

SeniorsBC.ca : a provincial government website which provides seniors and their families with better access to information on available programs and services.
HealthLinkBC – Covers topics about some of the more common health concerns seniors face in British Columbia. Provides useful websites that will help you make informed decisions about your health and health care.
Fetch Sunshine Coast – For Everything That’s Community Health. Find a local health care provider.
Vancouver Coastal Health – VCH is responsible for the delivery of community, hospital and long-term care services to more than one million people in communities including Richmond, Vancouver, the North Shore, Sunshine Coast, Sea to Sky corridor, Powell River, Bella Bella and Bella Coola. VCH also provides specialized care and services for people throughout BC and is the province’s hub of health care education and research.
Better at Home – Better at Home helps seniors with simple day-to-day tasks, thereby helping seniors maintain their independence and stay connected with their community.

Gale Courses – Providing free, highly interactive, instructor-led courses that you can take entirely online. Courses run for six weeks and new sessions begin every month.
Mango Languages – Learn a language online, for free, with Mango Languages.
Sunshine Coast ElderCollege – Originally part of Capilano University, Sunshine Coast ElderCollege is an independent non-profit society that provides top quality, affordable courses with highly qualified instructors. Courses are $35 per course and are available to anyone over 55 who wants to keep on learning. Find out more.
Cyber-Seniors – Cyber-Seniors’ mission is to bridge the digital divide and connect generations through technology. It does so through the development and dissemination of resources that enable community organizations to provide tech-training for senior citizens using an intergenerational, youth volunteer model. Youth are provided with lessons and learning activities to train them to act as digital mentors, and senior citizens gain access to effective technology training and intergenerational communities that keep them socially connected and engaged. This project is funded in part by the Government of Canada.
Gluu Technology Society – A Canadian nonprofit on a mission to help older adults use technology to stay happy, healthy & connected. Learn how to use your iPad, iPhone, or Android smartphone or tablet, all for free with Gluu.
Tech Help with the the Seniors Planning Table Technology Group – We can help you feel confident with your digital device through one-on-one mentoring, online training and peer support. Find out more.
digitallearn.org – This free resource includes videos explaining computer topics from how to use a keyboard and mouse to how to search for jobs online. The lessons are built for beginners and those who would like to improve their computer knowledge. Each lesson includes a video and printable resources.
learnfree.org has more than 125 lessons on computer basics, career planning, digital skills, Reading, Math, Photoshop, Microsoft Office, personal finance, and more.
A library staff member visits Christenson Village once a month, with library books and audiobooks for residents.
For any patron who is print-impaired, (one who cannot effectively read print because of a visual, physical, perceptual, developmental, cognitive, or learning disability), we have regular audiobooks as well as Daisy audiobooks and Daisy Readers available to borrow. Ask us for more information.
